How to create a new release

Every release in Orphiq - whether it's a single, EP, or album - lives in the Music section. Each one gets its own mood board, details, and release plan.

๐Ÿ”ฎ Where releases live

Click Music in the left sidebar (under Workflow). You'll see three sections:

  • Ideas - Early concepts you're still developing

  • Singles - Individual tracks with their own release

  • Albums & EPs - Multi-track projects

Choose the section that fits where you are with this release.

๐ŸŽต Create a new release

For a single:

  1. Click Add New Single

  2. Enter a title (working titles are fine)

  3. Set your release date and time (or leave it blank for now)

  4. Click Create

For an album or EP:

  1. Click Add New Project under Albums & EPs

  2. Enter a title

  3. Set your release date

  4. Click Create

You don't need everything finalized to start. Add what you know now and fill in the rest as your release takes shape.

๐Ÿ“ What's inside a release

Once created, your release has two tabs:

Project Details

  • Artwork - Upload your cover art (Orphiq checks if it meets platform requirements)

  • Project Story - Describe the concept and sound (helps Apollo understand the release)

  • Release date and status (Draft, Ready, Released)

Mood Board

  • Visual direction specific to this release

  • Different from your main Vision board - this is just for this project

  • Add images, click Analyze to let Apollo process them

๐Ÿš€ What to do next

Once your release exists, Apollo can help you plan it.

Try asking Apollo:

  • "Build a release timeline for [project name]"

  • "What should I post leading up to this release?"

  • "Help me write the story for this single"

The more details you add - artwork, story, mood board - the better Apollo's recommendations.

๐Ÿ’ก Pro Tip

Create your release as soon as you know it's happening, even if you don't have final artwork or a locked date. Apollo can help you plan backward from a target date and adjust as things change.
