Understanding workspace roles

Each person in a workspace has a role that sets what they can do. The artist owns the workspace.

What each role can do

  • Viewer: sees the workspace. Can't edit or change connections.

  • Collaborator: edits releases, Context and notes, and connects social accounts.

  • Manager: everything a Collaborator can do, plus managing members and changing the workspace's plan. Can't change Admins.

  • Admin: everything, including inviting Admins and deleting the workspace.

Check or change a role

Open Settings → Members & roles. Your role shows next to your name. To change someone's role, use the role menu on their row. Admins can change anyone; Managers can change anyone except Admins. A workspace always keeps at least one Admin, and people joining with an industry pass can't be Admins.

Who owns the workspace

The artist does. Team members get access, not ownership, even if they set the workspace up first. Ownership can be transferred from Settings → Advanced.

Tip

Start people as Viewer or Collaborator and give more access when they need it.
